This has been a really big year. You watched me get married. You watched me pass the eight figure milestone in my business. I’m going to get into the nitty-gritty of how I passed this massive milestone in my business. And last week my husband and I just bought our first home.

And I have to be honest, the law of attraction plays a big role in how I’ve achieved what I wanted to in my life and my business and my relationships, so I wanted to create a video on what I do and the six exercises that I practice to manifest what I want, and also the one exercise I stopped doing because I found that it was blocking me from really achieving the things that I wanted.

If you’re new to the law of attraction, in essence, it means that whatever we focus on, we attract into our lives. And so if you focus on negativity and scarcity and lack, you’re going to just breed more of that. If you focus on abundance and positivity, then you’re going to breed more of that. And manifesting really means that whatever you visualize, you basically harness the power of aligned action to make that vision or that dream a reality. So for me, that really comes down to a very basic principle that anything that you want in your life or in your business or in your relationships, it has to start in your head. Once you can visualize it and imagine it, then you can start putting it into action. These are the six things that I do to bring my ideas, my visions to life through manifesting.

Number one is write it down to make it real. I’ve talked about my black binder of dreams in other videos, and this is where my whole business really started back in 2015. I started just writing down all these wild and crazy ideas and visions that I had for what I wanted to create, and a lot of it has come true. And there was a study done that said that if you write down what you want, it’s 42% more likely to happen because you’ve just taken the simple action to write it down.

One of the biggest things that gets people caught on this is that you think your ideas are silly and you think they’re unrealistic. Good. They should be unrealistic. Write them down anyways, because you have to think big in order to do big things. You have to think unrealistic in order to bring your imagination to reality. And if a lot of the people in the world who’ve created some of the biggest and best businesses and brands and products and services and everything that you can think of that’s good started out as just a thought and putting pen paper. So number one, write it down to make it real.

Number two is act as if it’s already real. Now, no judgment here. This is a no judgment zone. Because this is going to sound a little crazy. First off, you’ve heard about my 90 day letter practice. I’ve talked about this quite a bit. I’ve done a video on it. I write myself a letter every year, as if the year has already happened, and then I do a 90 day letter. Every 90 days, I write a letter from my future self to my present self. And I write it as if everything has already happened that I want. So I mentioned before, I have this tattoo on my arm and it’s five F’s, and it stands for faith, family, finance, friends, and fitness, and it’s really my values and the values that were instilled by my grandpa.

So I kind of break my letters out into those categories of what I want to attract and what I want to achieve, and I write it as if it’s already done. So my future self will say, I’m so proud of you that you did X amount of revenue in your business in the last 90 days, and that you were able to go to the gym X amount of times in the last 90 days. So it really does solidify what you want, how you’re going to do it, and act as if it’s already done.

Now, the next piece of this is where it gets a little intense, but I was at a place where I knew I wanted to attract my person into my life, my now husband. We didn’t know each other and we hadn’t started dating, but I read a book that I highly recommend, called Calling In The One. One of the things that really stuck with me from that book was this exercise of basically creating space in your home and finding things to signify that that person is on their way to you.

So one of those things for me was I bought a toothbrush and I put it underneath my sink in my bathroom. And basically every time I would look at that, day or night, I would go, oh yeah, that’s for him. Even though he wasn’t around, we weren’t dating, we didn’t know each other at the time, I just knew that I had started reserving space for that person, and basically calling them in. 40 days later, we went on our first date. Just something to think about.

Another thing is with my home, the house that we just bought, it’s in a different neighborhood. It’s not easy necessarily for me to hop on over and get there. But I started pretending like I lived there in the last couple of months. I would go on the trails. I would take Muggsy for walks. I would go to the local coffee shops and grocery stores. I would act like that was my home, and that’s where I lived, and those were my streets. And that made a big difference for me in just really calling into reality that this was going to be my new normal. So sometimes you have to act as if it’s already real before it’s real to start attracting that into your life.

Number three is making space. And I talk about subtraction a lot. I kind of am a broken record when it comes to that. But a big thing for me is getting rid of things so you can create space for things that you want. A perfect example of this was if you watched my last video, my 30 day reset video, you know that I did a big decluttering job, and it’s so weird, but I did that. And it was like a week later, two weeks later, that we found out that we got the house. And so there is this energy of when you let go of things, and when you kind of clear your space, it makes space for the things that you want.

Another prime example of this is if you watched this video on my minimalist business, then you know that I had to let go of and fire clients and minimize my team in order to get to a place to build my business in a way that actually felt good for my lifestyle, the impact I wanted to have, and just the level of peace that I wanted in my day-to-day. And so I do really believe it’s not always about attract, attract, attract. You have to let things go and make the space in order to actually get those things into your life and have room for them.

Number four is set the vision, but be willing to adjust. So something that my little A type personality loves to do is control the outcome. And I have really had to work on not doing that and being flexible in how I get to where I want to get to, and also understanding that sometimes things aren’t going to work out the exact way that I envision them. They’re going to work out better. So one thing was I had this piece of paper on my bedroom wall, and my husband and I would look at it every day. I kind of forced him into it. It basically describes exactly what I wanted in a home, and it was super detailed.

But the more important piece of this was that I actually put down how I want to feel. And the home that we got is different than what I had written down in terms of characteristics and qualities. But feel wise, when I walked in this home, I knew it was home. And so if I had stuck so rigidly to what I had described, I never would have gone for this house, but I knew feeling wise how I wanted to feel. So sometimes you have to go based off of your feel and your emotion and how you want to really show up on a day-to-day basis and the emotions that you want to have in your body on a day-to-day basis. And that is more of a guide than the external stuff.

Another prime example of this was with my husband. We actually had known each other, not really, we never really had a full conversation, but we knew each other through other people. And we had actually grown up five minutes from one another, but I didn’t meet him until I was 29. He was in my realm, but it never sparked that this could be the person. It took time for me to really open my eyes and go, oh my gosh, he’s been right in front of me. Sometimes you have to realize that it’s not always the way you think it’s going to look on paper. It’s better.

With my business, as well, I had this idea of what entrepreneurship was supposed to be, and what a business was supposed to be, and what success was supposed to look like. And that led me down a pretty crappy path for a while because I was just hustling all the time. I ended up with massive burnout, until I basically knew how I wanted my life to look and I built my business around that. And I changed and shifted my definition of success and what a successful business looked like completely to create something that really worked for me.

So I’ve way overachieved on what I wanted to achieve with my business, and I did it in a way that did not look at all like I thought it was going to look. So having a clear idea of your vision of what you want to create, but also being super flexible on the journey of how you get there and really trusting your intuition, your gut, your feeling, so that that can guide you, and you’re not solely relying on making sure externally is perfect because there’s no such thing.

So on that note, I mentioned there’s something that I stopped doing when it comes to manifesting. And I stopped creating vision boards, which is strange, because I made a whole other video on vision boards and how important they were to me. And I’ve made vision boards that have very much so come to fruition. You can check out this video for what exactly happened there. And I like the idea of a vision board, but oftentimes it can keep you really stuck and also just sort of limit you, and you might miss opportunities because it’s not on this vision board you created.

But like I said, if you open yourself up to being more flexible, but you kind of know what you want, then the right things are going to come your way, regardless of if it’s on a piece of paper set up visually for you. So that’s really important to understand. That’s not something I do anymore, because I know that I could be missing out on things that are even bigger and better than what I have laid out.

The fifth thing that I wanted to say is keeping your vibration high. I mentioned this a few times, the emotions, the feelings, those are really important. For me, a big factor of how I manifest what I want is I’m very, very conscious, and I’ve had many people ask me, why don’t you follow that many people on Instagram? Or, why aren’t you watching more creators? And why aren’t you on TikTok? The reason for me is that I’m very conscious of what I consume because I like keeping my vibe high. I like to feel good and happy, and consuming too much takes me out of being a creator and it takes me out of manifesting what I want to manifest because I’m potentially comparing myself to other people or feeling like I’m not good enough. And I get into a negative head space, and you can’t do anything good from that place.

So being very conscious of what I consume and being very aware of how I feel is so important. And I made this video on my morning routine, which really is kind of what I set my whole day up for success based on. And that is so important to me so that every day when I wake up, I know that I’m starting on a positive foot. Of course I have bad days. Of course that happens. But my main goal every day is to keep my vibe very high and my frequency very high, because when you’re in a good space mentally, then you’re more open to attracting what you want.

The sixth thing is to trust the process. You’ve probably heard people say surrender to the process, but I really believe it’s about trusting the process and trusting that whatever is happening to you is meant to happen to you and for you. I’ve experienced heartbreak across the board. I’ve experienced heartbreak on a personal level. I’ve experienced heartbreak on a business level, losing deals that I thought I was going to get, losing employees that I thought were going to be with me forever. There is an element of heartbreak to everything you do.

And I’ll share this with you, with this home that we just bought, we’ve been looking for over a year, and there was a house that came up that was exactly what I wanted on paper. And it came up a few months ago, and we were this close to getting it, and I’ll show you what happened because it was really just a heartbreaking moment of, I was so sure, I was so sure, so positive we were going to get it, and then we didn’t. And we lost out because we were $10,000 under the other person who came in.

Hey, Shawn.

Hey. Sorry, guys, I’ve got bad news. Yeah, he said there were five offers. We were the second best.

We lost out by $10,000. I can’t believe it. Our entire day, just sitting here, waiting, and we lost it by $10,000. I know everything happens for a reason, but I’m just so frustrated. And I know I’m very grateful that I’m in this position. I’m very grateful we can buy a house, but it’s just been such a long process, and I really wanted this house. On to the next.

I was devastated, but I really had to take a step back and understand that sometimes when something doesn’t happen for you, it’s really happening for you, if that makes sense. So that house was not meant for me. That deal was not meant for me. That opportunity wasn’t meant for me. That relationship wasn’t meant for me. Because it’s not a part of my ultimate path. And I always say that it’s already written. I really believe that everything that you want in your life is already written, and you’re just on this choose your own adventure of how you’re going to get there. So trusting that there is a bigger plan for you and sort of letting go of the control factor has been huge for me, especially as someone who definitely has some perfectionist tendencies and some control freak tendencies.

It allows me to sort of relax and go back to what I was just talking about, which is staying in a high vibration, staying optimistic, and staying positive, even when things don’t work out, because there’s now so many times in my life where things haven’t worked out, where I was crushed in the moment, and then ultimately it worked out for the greater good. So it’s always happening for you, even if it doesn’t happen for you.

All of this to say these are the six things that really allow me to attract what I want my life and embrace the failure, embrace the rejection, embrace the things that don’t happen, because I know that ultimately, it’s all working out for a bigger reason. But all that to say is that it’s one thing to manifest, it’s one thing to visualize, it’s one thing to set the intention to act as if it’s already real, but if there isn’t aligned action to back it up, it’s not going to happen. So you really have to think about what do you want and work backwards from there. And every decision that you make along the way needs to be aligned with that outcome and that vision you want to create for yourself.

You just have to believe it as reality. Are you with me?
